Biography

Darren Crull lives in Birmingham, Alabama where he is an Instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham teaching all levels of painting and drawing. Darren graduated with a Master's of Fine Arts degree from The Florida State University in May, 2003. At Florida State, he was awarded the Gene and Rebekah Rivers Award in Painting, The Senator David Aronberg Award for Student Excellence, and the 2002 Rollins Juried Exhibition Purchase Award. He is originally from Bridge City, Texas and is a graduate of Lamar University with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in Studio Painting. Darren has participated in exhibitions at the Dishman Art Gallery at Lamar University, The Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts in Florence, AL and The Leu Visual Arts Center at Belmont University in Nashville. He has recently been invited to participate in "Then and Now: An Alumni Survey 1962 to 2004" in the Dishman Art Museum at Lamar University.
